This place is actually perfect if you want to try something new, not so popular place to go (but now becoming) to spend your vacation this summer.
In celebration for passing the board examination and graduated from college, friends decided to have a trip. Since it is summer, its best time to hit the beach, great way to enjoy the sun, beat the heat and to have fun. Through internet searching, our feet took us to this beautiful place in Calatagan. Batangas, the Burot beach.
The place is actually quite nice, as matter of fact amazing. First time to get here, instantly fell to like it. Love the setting, water, and the sea urchins. Yes you will encounter a lot there.
On our way to Burot beach. We had tricycle ride all the way from the market to the beach, and that costs us 50 pesos each. There’s a lot of tricycle in the market offering a ride, and I think every driver charge same amount. These are your views on your way to the Burot, passing through on a rough road, damuhan, sementeryo, also blue water sea and Bakawan plants.
You can get to Calatagan by using public transportation, actually madali lang, but it’s a long ride. From Dasma to Calatagan it took us two and half hour.
Since we used public transportation, we bought some of our supplies at the market, just nearby the Celyrosa Express terminal. Doon na namin binili yung mga fresh goods and those heavy stuff like bigas. So if you have the time and means to buy all your stuff sa lugar niyo, I push niyo yan para todo ang katipiran. By the way, bet na bet ko yang malaking panutsa.
Many beach goer during the weekends, so I suggest, get there early as you can, to find a best spot to put up your tent.
Entrance fee sa beach is 130 pesos for an overnight stay; they also charge 20 pesos for every tent you bring. Pero kung wala kayong tent, I guess you can rent it for 300 pesos.
Nakakaloka!
Our beautiful spot. We’re so lucky to got this place. We paid 200 pesos for this, which has two table.
Loving to see the blue water while having fun sa kwento at kain with friends. Nakakawala ng stress. Nakaka relax.
You’ll also find a lot of starfish in the area. Different kinds and sizes.
Take care not to step on to these sea urchins, or else baka manghingi ka ng ihi sa friend mo.
Dyesebel na natuyot. Init kasi.
Cream color but not too fine sand.
Group shot. Nagtatago ako kasi makikita yung malaking kong tiyan. Nipple slip na lang muna.
Si Rachelle hindi yata natutuwa sa nangyayari. Di ba Donnie?
In this part you can see the corals underneath. Pwede dito mag snorkling but be careful sa sea urchins at mga bato.
Expect na matindi ang sikat ng araw, so don’t forget to bring your sunblock lotion to protect your skin from harmful UV rays at iwas na rin sa sunburn.
Good thing I have my selfie stick. Didn’t have to ask someone to take your solo picture.
Emotera. Higop na yata yan hindi na halik.
Best shot I got. Saya lang nung limang naliligo.
At night you can have your bonfire set up, para feel na feel ang beach while having inuman at kwentuhan under the stars.
Burot in the morning.
After we had our breakfast, we decided to try the boat riding. For 100 pesos each, Manong will take you to three places near the beach. It is my first time to try boat riding and island hoping. Saya lang.
Suma sideline ang lola mo. Our tour guide.
First stop, a stretch of sand in the middle of the sea, ang taray di ba?
Trivia ni Manong dito, yung bahay daw likod, doon daw dati nag shooting sila Claudine Barreto for a movie. Tapos yung Burot beach daw, doon naman daw nag shoot ang Marina, bongga di ba?
Second stop, the Starfish island. Dito madaming starfish, at malalaki pa.
Last stop, mga corals naman makikita mo. Dito pwedeng mag snorkling, you’ll be amaze here. It is also my first time to try this, and good thing si Manong may mga vest na available, kaya kahit hindi ka marunong lumangoy you can still enjoy.
Almost two hours din yung boat ride at island hoping. After we had our lunch, Donnie got an idea na magkaroon ng raffle draw. Ang dami kasi namin sobrang supplies, like bigas, canned goods, noodles, uling, singkamas at iba pa. Pati yung panutsa hindi nakaligtas as raffle prize. Donnie got the singkamas, and Marlon got the sobrang bigas. Hirap kaya magbitbit.
So far, I can say this is the best summer trip I had. A lot of first time for me, to include, got drunk in the beach at night because of a game. Happy to be with these people. A great pay off to all the hard work in school. A great place to wash off the stress I been through. Till next time guys.
