The anticipation for Nicolas Ghesquière as the new creative director for LV is over. This week, he presented his first collection for LV FW 2014 RTW womenswear collection. Classic 60’s style with modern workmanship is the latest vision of the collection. Far away from fantasy as what we seen from past collections of the brand when Marc Jacobs still the director. This time LV latest collection is more luxurious as he said it in an interview for a magazine. Lots of skin showing, and lots of leather, as always, done in Nicolas’ innovative ways. Aside from new clothes, of course we also anticipate the new breed of bags. And here some of the eye candy bags that really caught my attention when I saw the photos in the internet.
A new breed of LV. Nicolas shrink the LV trunk into cute handy pieces. This is the new Petite Malle, a small version of LV famous trunk.
Alma bag in two tone color with quilted leather design. A classic looking bag that surely bet for keeping.
The new Montana bag. This is one of my fave, I love Nicolas innovation to remove the other handle and made into one and place a zip detail on it. Plus the color of it, not so pop but not too bland. Just right to take more years style. A really classic.
For modern women, this structured design bag is perfect for you. A splash of vibrant color mixed with famous LV classic monogram design.
Montana bag with colored piping detail. Another kind for keeps and will take a long run in terms of design appeal.
Another fave piece, Montana bag in quilted leather design.
Nicolas proved the brand need a break from fantasy. With his ideals to bring simplicity and class to produce just beautiful clothes and accessories. So happy to see the brand new genes to provide just luxe and nothing fuzz.
